The video premiered at the Builder 100 event, setting the stage for Sunnova’s keynote presentation and highlighting the company's strategic partnership with homebuilders. It played a key role in establishing credibility and directly contributed to securing multiple builder partnerships.

Background
Sunnova’s New Homes business line serves a distinct customer base from the broader Sunnova brand, focusing specifically on homebuilders developing new residential communities. The core objective is to act as a reliable partner throughout the homebuilding process—integrating smoothly into construction timelines while ensuring that solar and storage solutions add value without creating concerns for the future homeowner.
Approach
We collaborated with one of our homebuilder partners to highlight their Colorado community while strategically showcasing the value proposition of Sunnova’s New Homes business. With a lean production budget, we leveraged paid talent by casting a real family to portray homeowners and securing in-kind talent from the builder’s own team. During the shoot, we maximized our time on location by capturing extensive additional footage and bringing along a photographer to build a robust library of visual assets for future marketing use across all New Homes campaigns.
Outcome
In a single day, we successfully captured all the footage needed for the event video, completing the project on time and on budget. Additionally, we gathered a wide range of content—including video and photography—that was repurposed for digital ads, social media, and broader campaign assets. The shoot also yielded material for customer testimonials and was shared with partners to create further content, significantly amplifying the value and return on investment for Sunnova.
