Halliburton iStar Product Line

In collaboration with the Halliburton's Sperry team, I developed the concepts and creatives for the entire iStar line of products (iCruise, Earthstar, Pixstar). From 3D texturing, lighting and rendering, to presentations, printed ad materials, wall wraps, event materials and animations.

Background

Halliburton's Sperry drilling tools had previously been perceived as outdated compared to emerging technologies. To shift this perception, the company launched the iStar product line—a new generation of cutting-edge, automated drilling tools. They sought a fresh, modern approach to showcasing these innovations, departing from traditional methods of presentation.

Approach

To generate excitement around the launch of the advanced iStar tools, we developed a comprehensive marketing campaign designed to make a strong impact. The tools were featured in major industry publications and showcased at high-profile oil and gas events such as OTC, MEOS, and SEG. We produced a full suite of marketing assets—including animations, videos, augmented reality experiences, and roadshow presentations—packaged as a turnkey kit to support the business development team in effectively engaging and selling to customers.

Outcome

The launch generated significant industry buzz and successfully repositioned Sperry as a forward-looking, technology-driven organization. Customer demand for the tools quickly exceeded production capacity, resulting in waitlists as interest outpaced supply.
