WPP Benefits Harmonization
Developed a series of five engaging 1–2 minute animations for WPP, each highlighting a different employee benefit offered as part of their comprehensive package. The animations featured rigged 2D characters integrated with live-action footage of WPP employees, creating a dynamic and relatable experience. I handled storyboarding for brand and client approvals, led all animation work, and coordinated multi-location video shoots in Austin, TX and New York City. Professional voiceovers were added to each piece, and the final animations were incorporated into an Articulate course for internal employee training. I also managed all audio editing and post-production, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality final product, with raw footage shared and reviewed via Dropbox.

Background
As WPP worked to unify benefits offerings across its various agencies, they sought to update and rebrand the employee benefits materials to align with the WPP brand. This included creating animated characters that adhered to WPP’s illustration style and color palette. Each character was thoughtfully designed to reflect the diversity of WPP’s workforce, ensuring the content felt inclusive and relatable to the employees engaging with the learning course.
Approach
Each animation began with hand-drawn storyboards to establish the visual tone and flow. These frames were assembled into a rough animatic, allowing the client to review and suggest early changes quickly. Once approved, high-resolution illustrations with finalized colors and text were created, followed by another round of revisions to finalize the content. Characters were then imported into After Effects, rigged for puppet-style movement, and animated to align with the script. Temporary voiceovers were used during this stage to ensure proper timing. After final approval, professional voiceovers and music were added to complete the animations. Each final piece was reviewed by both the client and WPP's branding team to ensure full alignment with brand standards.
Outcome
The animations were met with highly positive feedback. Several testimonial segments were specifically requested for presentations to employee groups, who responded with enthusiasm to the updated benefits. Additionally, a consolidated overview animation was commissioned to present the Benefits Harmonization strategy to WPP’s executive leadership and the heads of its various agencies, underscoring the project's impact and strategic importance.
