Background
Sunnova was changing its service offering to expand beyond solar and battery. They wanted to add additional services including ev chargers, generators and future products that would help homeowners with their energy challenges.
The design had not been changed in a few years and was heavily angled around solar power. It also had a focus on specific products and direct lead capturing without moments to understand the product.

We mapped out the existing high-value content and the existing site structure. Taking that existing structure we tested various navigation structures to test the navigation structures. We created a new section to focus around homeowner challenges so that they wouldn’t have to choose specific products but focus on the challenge they wanted to solve and the relevant products would be displayed.
Working with numerous internal and external stakeholders, the design was implemented in months with minimal negative impacts to SEO value and traffic.
